We're a small team. Real humans read every email. Most questions have an answer below — if not, we're one message away.
Open Hold On, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed into the same App Store or Play Store account you used to buy Hold On.
Make sure you've granted Hold On Screen Time permission (iOS) or Usage Access (Android) during onboarding. You can re-run the setup from Settings → Permissions. On iOS, Screen Time needs Family Controls — if you reinstalled the app, you'll need to re-authorize it.
Yes. Journaling, prompts, and reflections are fully on-device. The only things that need the internet are the initial premium purchase and restore (handled by the App Store / Play Store).
Open any entry in the History tab and swipe left to delete, or go to Settings → "Reset all data" to wipe everything locally. Uninstalling the app also erases all entries — nothing is backed up to any cloud.
Tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings. If that doesn't work, email us with your App Store / Play Store receipt and we'll sort it out.
All purchases go through Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them. See Apple's refund page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play's refund process.
Yes — Android uses the platform's Usage Access permission to detect when a gated app launches. Some manufacturer skins (MIUI, One UI) may need extra permissions; reach out if you hit trouble.
Used to detect when one of your chosen apps is opened so we can insert the prompt. Everything stays on your device — Apple's DeviceActivity framework never shares the data with us.
Used to know which app just came to the foreground so we can trigger the prompt overlay. Hold On never reads app content.
Optional, for locking your journal. Handled entirely by the operating system; we never see the biometric data.
Used only for the one-time Hold On Pro upgrade and for restoring that purchase. Processed by Apple / Google, verified via RevenueCat.
